Privacy Policy
GridRename is a desktop application made by Kusuma Putra ("we", "us"), an individual developer based in Indonesia. This policy explains what data the app and this website handle. In short: your files stay on your computer, and we collect as little as possible.
Your files
GridRename reads file names and, for images, photo metadata (date taken and dimensions) only on your computer in order to rename files. File names, file contents and metadata are never uploaded or sent to us or anyone else.
License verification
When you activate GridRename Pro, and about once a week afterwards, the app sends your license key to Gumroad, Inc. (our payment and licensing provider) to confirm the license is valid and has not been refunded. Gumroad receives your license key and the technical data any internet request includes, such as your IP address. A verified copy of the license is stored on your computer in the app's data folder.
Update checks
When the app starts, it checks GitHub (operated by GitHub, Inc.) for a newer version. This request contains your IP address and app version, but no personal or file information.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Gumroad. Gumroad collects your name, email address and payment details under its own privacy policy (gumroad.com/privacy). We receive your name, email, country and order details so we can deliver your license and provide support. We never see your full card details.
Support emails
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to answer you, and keep the conversation for as long as needed to support you.
This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting, and deletes them after 30 days.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent personal data.
- We don't show ads or use your data for advertising.
- We don't collect usage analytics or telemetry inside the app.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you (purchase and support records) by emailing kusumaindraputra@gmail.com. We may need to keep some purchase records where the law requires it, for example for tax purposes.
Children
GridRename is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and, for significant changes, announce it on this website.
